Most Swamps Believe

that the labyrinth forming behind

your U.S. Senator goes deep sea fishing

with the dark side of the pine cone.

Although some people's hats are

soothed by over 10,000,000 chain saws

and lock-jawed insiders, I'm

looking no further than the

bartender near my guardian angel

that ceases to exist and

I have to make survive by stealing

change from cab drivers's ash

trays and scurrying past

dust bunnies for razor blades.

Reduce Stress

It's lawful, it's astray

it's perceived by Abraham Lincoln

and Judge Judy

to be an act of contrition

and by George Bush as an attack of uremia.

Nobody but me sees the demons,

the diction, the agnostic stance

that tramples the trifle.

I'm a

bit lonely this year mainly

because my difference slipped

and suddenly my gate was a mile-a-minute

and I replied "I'm gray,

I'm intelligent, I obey most laws"
